What does it mean to truly see another person—not simply to observe them, but to create the conditions in which they feel understood, valued, and heard?
The Art of Being Seen explores the intersection of intentional listening, visual storytelling, authentic curiosity, and human connection.
Through personal reflection, imagery, interactive dialogue, and shared experience, the session considers how our assumptions shape the stories we tell about others—and how greater intention can transform the way we lead, serve, create, and build relationships.
Designed as a participatory conversation rather than a traditional presentation, the session invites attendees to reflect on what helps people feel genuinely seen and how those principles can be carried into their own communities, organizations, and relationships.

Organizations invest heavily in strategy, technology, and training, yet trust, collaboration, and innovation can remain elusive.
This proposed SXSW workshop explores a different question: What if the problem isn't the people, but the conditions we've created?
Through stories, reflection, and practical examples, the session explores how intentionally designed human experiences can shape the way people work together—creating environments where people feel heard, invited to contribute, and safe to experiment within clear guardrails.
Participants leave with a new lens for understanding how the conditions surrounding a team can influence trust, collaboration, innovation, and what people are able to accomplish together.
