Intelligent Swarming/Incident Management
Principal Product Manager, Fidelity Investments

  • Leading and successfully creating a team of engineers in an Agile experiment of production & non-production support for all of the authentication teams in Customer Protection.

  • Engineers rotate on to the team on a 1-sprint rotation per quarter from their regular team and perform support functions, triage, troubleshooting issues. We also work on a 24-hour rotation across geographies between the US, India and Ireland.  This experiment has led to a permanent process, has created cultural change in that there is more empathy, a larger understanding of how their individual and team’s work impacts those outside of their team.

  • Evolving the flow and continuous process improvement of this Agile experiment while also creating an environment for engineers who generally do not work together, to quickly gel and become a cohesive team quickly. This allows us to resolve incidents quickly, learn and teach each other to further develop engineering talent.

  • Building relationships across key teams in the ITSM group and learning best practices of how other areas within the organization manage production support. Creating an environment that is emotionally safe to allow collaboration between global teams and resolving open incidents quickly that directly benefit our customers.
